PRODUCTION OPERATOR (COOK - PM Shift -2:00pm - 10:30pm) (Pay starting at $16.60)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Loads batched ingredients into steam kettles. Operates, controls, and observes the cooking process to maintain quality standards.
Scope of Responsibilities & Duties
- Operate 300-gallon steam jacketed kettle.
- Read work orders or other instructions to determine product specifications or process requirements.
- Adjust valves to control flow of production materials.
- Adjust valves to regulate flow of steam and monitor cook time and temperature.
- Operate pumps and connect hoses.
- Operate MTC Column Dumper to batch ingredients into kettles
- Rinses, cleans kettles, and flushes lines with water
- Notifies supervisor of equipment repair or maintenance needs
- Moves products, materials, or equipment between work areas.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50-65 pounds up to four feet high without assistance.
- Required to bend, stoop, pull and push in performance of job duties.
