SUMMARY

In supporting the mission our CDL Drivers are responsible for all trailer movement in/out of the facility to ensure consistent material flow. This person will follow all policies, processes, and procedures to ensure proper transportation for all finished goods, raw material and packaging.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for handling, shipping and receiving transactions which includes loading and unloading semi-trailers, taking product in and out of racks, rotating stock and accurately completing paper work for the same.
  • Serve as back up material handler.
  • Complete according to process all trailer inspections and temperature checks.
  • Notify supervisor of any damage, incident, near miss or equipment failure immediately.
  • Move trailers on and off premises in a safe but timely manner.
  • Notify Supervisor of actual or potential problems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Lead or Supervisor.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in the food industry and knowledge of GMP’s and SQF audits would be valuable
  • Minimum of 6 months experience. Holding a valid Class A CDL Driver’s License
  • Forklift certification required.

  • Must be able to work fairly independently.
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions from Supervisor.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly and 75 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to pass forklift exam and be able to properly operate a forklift and related equipment.
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess strong decision making skills.
  • Must be able to manage time efficiently and effectively.
  • Must consistently be customer focused and possess good communication skills.
